Why we have a $250.00 Commissioning charge.
The MacGregor factory does not ship a new 26M in sailaway/trailaway condition. They are "packaged" for transport to the dealer and require over a days labor to make one ready for delivery. We are not reimbursed nor is there an allowance from the factory for this work.
Our commissioning charge includes a thorough inventory of all parts, options and accessories. The boat is also inspected for any and all workmanship defects. Repairs are made if needed.
We install all standard and optional equipment. This includes the head, deck hardware, swim ladder, rudders, etc. We also install the spreaders, standing and running rigging.
Finally, the boat is hand washed and waxed with Meguiars Premium Marine Wax. All chrome and stainless steel is polished and the interior is completely cleaned and vacuumed.
We think this is a heck of a value and it insures that your new Mac is ready to trailer and sail when you pick her up.
