Although our hardware package for the MacGregor 26M and 26X cruising spinnaker isn't required to fly the sail, we think you will find this modest investment will make a huge difference in controlling and protecting it. You will receive our tack pennant, which you can run from the cockpit and has been designed and built for the Mac 26M and 26X using New England Ropes StaSet cordage with snap shackle as well as a pair of stainless steel Garhauer swivel blocks. The tack pennant assists in lifting the cruising spinnaker higher off the deck. It helps protect the sail from dragging on the pulpit as well as other hardware that may possibly come in contact with it. The turning blocks simply assist in controlling the sail and increasing overall performance. A great compliment to this package is add a Chutescoop for easier handling of the spinnaker.
