Tack Pennant - Storm Jib - MacGregor 26M and 26X
As sailors ourselves, we feel strongly that all boats should carry a storm jib as part of their basic sail inventory. Especially light displacement trailerables like the MacGregor. We look at a storm jib as a piece of basic safety equipment and have even made one available on this site. Check our "Sail Loft" page for details.
You will need a tack pennant to fly a storm jib. This is simply a heavy-duty line that attaches to the tack of the sail with a stainless steel shackle with the other end going to the bow area of your boat.
Like our cruising spinnaker tack pennant, ours is built from high tensile New England Ropes StaSet double braid line and features a heavy duty stainless steel shackle and heat sealed bitter end.
Available in your choice of eight colors.
