Performance Rudder for the MacGregor 26S
This blade was designed exclusively for the MacGregor 26S sailboat built between 1989 and 1995.
IdaSailor's HDPE rudder features a 1.5" leading edge extension over the stock location, reducing weather helm and yielding a much lighter tiller when under sail. The NACA 12 airfoil section and the 11.875" chord length provides tremendous lift with reduced drag, making this rudder faster on all points of sail. The additional lift helps the boat to weather, while the reduced drag makes your Mac faster off the wind.
This blade comes to you with the pivot hole pre-drilled for easy installation and requires no modifications to your boat. IdaSailor does not drill the blade-lift or the down-haul holes. If you would like them pre-drilled, please let us know in the notes section of your order during checkout. Otherwise, just bolt it on and go sailing, faster!

In stock and ready for shipping is the high-performance replacement rudder for the MacGregor 26D built from late 1986 to 1989.
Carved from solid HDPE and faired to an ideal NACA 12 airfoil shape, this blade helps reduce weather helm and tiller effort. This is the rudder that has been helping Macs win races all over the country. It's faster, allows for more control, points higher and the boat will accelerate in puffs without rounding up while it's airfoil shape reduces drag, making you faster off the wind.
This rudder blade is a drop-replacement for your original blade, no modifications to your boat are necessary. Pivot hole and shear pin/trailering hole are drilled for your convenience when installing the rudder. Lifetime warranty.
